Prathikshaa Rehab Centre is a multidisciplinary special school and therapy clinic in Chennai, established with the objective of delivering evidence-based, ethical, and outcome-oriented services to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

As an Occupational Therapist and the Director of Prathikshaa, I bring over 25 years of clinical, academic, and administrative experience in the field of developmental rehabilitation. Over the course of my professional journey, I have directly assessed and intervened with more than 1,000 children, addressing a wide range of developmental, sensory integration, behavioural, and functional challenges across the lifespan.

Our centre adopts a holistic and family-centred approach, integrating therapeutic intervention, special education, caregiver training, and interdisciplinary collaboration. We place strong emphasis on early identification, individualized intervention planning, functional outcomes, and measurable progress, aligned with best practices in occupational therapy and special education.

In addition to clinical service delivery, Prathikshaa is committed to professional capacity building. To date, we have provided training, supervision, mentorship, and employment opportunities to over 200 professionals, contributing to the development of skilled and ethically grounded practitioners in the field of rehabilitation and special education.

With the recent restructuring of our website and services, we reaffirm our commitment to clinical excellence, continuous quality improvement, and innovation. Our long-term vision is to remain a centre of excellence that supports individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving maximum independence, participation, and quality of life.
